FLIGHT AT COST TO STUTTGART

Black Forest

An excellent Methodist-owned hotel in the attractive town of Freűdenstadt, in the midst of the famous Black Forest, is the venue for this holiday. Situated mid-way between Stuttgart in Germany and Strasbourg on the French border, Hotel Teuchelwald stands in its own grounds, just outside the town, which was founded in 1599 by Duke Friedrich I von Würtemberg. It has the largest Market Square in Germany, with no less than fifty bubbling fountains, and the "L-shaped‟ town church, built between 1601 and 1608.

There is lots-to-do and to explore in Freűdenstadt, built in the form of the board game Nine Men’s Morris; arcaded shops and cafés are inviting and you should not miss taking a ride on the little tourist train, the Kurbähnie.

A programme of coach excursions is included in this holiday, with visits to the spa town of Baden-Baden, Lake Constance - Germany‟s largest lake, and the interesting historic town of Freiburg. There will be visits, too, to attractive villages in the Black Forest and an opportunity for walking and travel on local buses (free) from the hotel.

You will enjoy dinner, bed and breakfast, and there are tea and coffee making facilities in each bedroom. You will also have the free use of the swimming pool, sauna, steam baths and fitness centre (at Klinik Höhenfreudenstadt, situated in the hotel grounds).
