Be in it right from the start!
After 10 years of being in the Christian holiday market throughout Europe, Asia Minor, North Africa and the U.S.A., Thornleigh Travel is ‘pushing the boat out’ (literally!) in 2012 by establishing its own CRUISE CLUB. We are arranging an inaugural cruise aboard the luxurious ‘Royal Caribbean International’ ship, Splendour of the Seas, sailing out of Venice (Italy) to the Greek Islands on Saturday, the 25th August 2012.
At 70,000 tonnes, this is a medium sized ship which has a capacity of 2,076 guests, with a guest-to-crew ratio of three to one. It is a Vision Class ship, which means it is known as a ‘Ship of Light’, due to the acres of glass used in its design. Our agents will organise flights to Venice from the UK: Manchester, London or any other convenient airport, with transfer from the airport to the port.
The ship will cruise on the Adriatic Sea to the ‘Med’, calling at Bari (Italy), Corfu (Greece), Mykonos (Greece), Piraeus – Athens (Greece) and Dubrovnik (Croatia), returning to Venice on Saturday, the 1st September.
All staterooms are en suite, with TV, telephone, a vanity area and hairdryer, plus a dedicated stateroom attendant. There are several categories of stateroom, so you can choose the one that is right for you. Whichever accommodation you choose, you are assured of quality service 24 hours a day.
To ensure all-round satisfaction, and your protection, we are using Cumbria Cruises, part of The Co-operative Group (ABTA No.F5150; ATOL No.5758) as our booking agent for this holiday. The agent will advise about the various options of stateroom, together with appropriate price. All tariffs include the return airfare from the UK to Venice, according to your choice of airport, and transfers to and from the ship.
We have reserved a number of staterooms for Thornleigh Travel Cruise Club (not the whole ship, of course, for our first cruise – we cannot be too ambitious to begin with!) at some excellent prices. Therefore, you can be sure there is a stateroom just right for you, with prices starting from £959 per person, including the flight from the UK. We will arrange group dining, to ensure we keep in contact with all members of our party, and we will meet regularly together.
Whether you are ready to simply sit back and relax, or enjoy the range of exciting facilities, you can be sure that there is something to suit everyone on board the Splendour of the Seas. A restricted number of airplane seats are reserved, so bookings will be taken on a 'first come, first (re)served' basis. To avoid any disappointment, we recommend you book as soon as possible; a deposit of just £200 per person will be required to secure your choice of stateroom, and flight.
Those on the cruise will be accompanied throughout by members of the Thornleigh Travel team.
